Travel in the age of COVID-19 has become a major risk – cruise lines have been shut down or are operating at reduced capacity, flights have been hit hard, and taking the metro is a breeding ground for the virus – but Sonovia, a new reusable antiviral face mask with an over 99% success rate in eliminating the virus, significantly reduces that risk and is far more comfortable and cost-effective than other masks.
Medical tests have shown that SonoviaTech masks are effective against COVID-19 and other viruses and bacteria. Tests at the internationally accredited ATCCR laboratory found that Sonovia’s SonoMask eliminated 99.34% of SARS-COV2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) within just 30 minutes of exposure. Additional tests at the European Union Authorised Hygcen laboratory in Austria showed that Sonovia masks provide more than 99% efficacy against the tested virus.
How do Sonovia masks protect against coronavirus?
Sonovia’s technology was initially developed to fight Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) – a major problem in hospitals around the world. The company uses a patented technology to infuse textiles with zinc oxide nano-particles, microscopic particles of the meal that give its masks and textiles wash-durable, antiviral, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-odor properties.
The company explains that its zinc oxide infused textile creates a reaction that modifies bacteria and viruses’ structure, thus killing them, and ensuring that both the person wearing the mask and those around them are protected.
Reusable, washable and comfortable Nano Textile Masks
Sonovia is not only more effective than other masks in blocking viruses and bacteria, it can be washed and last for a year.
The nano textile masks can be washed more than 55 times while maintaining their high anti-viral/ anti-microbial performance, thus, preventing the enormous environmental damage caused by the use of millions upon millions of disposable masks
Sonovia SonoMasks are made from a machine washable 80% cotton, 20% polyester blend that is soft, comfortable and breathable.
The latest version of the SonoMask comes with a built in, bendable nose wire that makes it even more comfortable. The wire helps seal the mask around the nose better, avoid foggy glasses and with its soft cotton is comfortable to wear throughout the day.

How do SonoMasks differ from all other masks?
Masks such as the N-95 standard masks, while until now have been considered the best masks for protection from COVID-19 are in fact designed for dust filtration, not for antiviral protection.
While N-95 masks filter only 95% of particles, Sonovia’s metal-oxide nanoparticle infused masks are designed specifically to filter and destroy viruses and bacteria and have a proven particle filtration of above 98% and viral efficacy of over 99%.
The SonoMask not only filters these particles but deactivates the viruses and bacteria on the mask.
Surgical masks are loose-fitting and can leave a gap between the mask and the face that can allow virus-carrying aerosols to penetrate, and also have a lower filtration rate than N95 masks.
The SonoMask comes in different mask sizes for men, women, and children to ensure the best and most comfortable fit and also comes with the option of either adjustable ear loops or headstraps.
Unlike regular disposable masks, which can leave space around the mask that aerosols that carry the COVID virus can penetrate, the Sonovia SonoMask conforms to your face, forming a close-seal around the mouth and nose, providing unparalleled comfort and protection throughout the day.
The company recommends washing the mask once per week in cold water with soap or mild detergent to remove the build-up of natural oils on the mask.
Cost-effective and environmentally friendly
SonoviaTech SonoMasks are reusable and can be washed 55 times while still maintaining their antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-microbial properties. With the company recommending a once-weekly wash, that means each mask lasts just over a year! That means that each person using a Sonovia reusable mask saves at least 365 non-recyclable masks per year from ending up in garbage dumps, and not only that, on a long-term calculation they in fact work out much cheaper than N-95 masks and surgical masks!
The cost per day when using SonoMask is 50 cents when purchasing a three-pack of masks, compared to $1.25 for surgical masks and $5 for a N-95 mask (at one per day).
Take a look at the table to compare the cost of Sonovia masks versus N-95 and surgical masks.
CDC says face masks protect you from COVID-19
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed that wearing a face mask protects the person wearing the mask and other people from COVID 19.
The CDC says on its website that “Masks are primarily intended to reduce the emission of virus-laden droplets (“source control”), which is especially relevant for asymptomatic or presymptomatic infected wearers who feel well and may be unaware of their infectiousness to others, and who are estimated to account for more than 50% of transmissions.1,2 Masks also help reduce inhalation of these droplets by the wearer (“filtration for personal protection”). The community benefit of masking for SARS-CoV-2 control is due to the combination of these effects; individual prevention benefit increases with increasing numbers of people using masks consistently and correctly.
The SonoMask provides superior protection to regular cloth and surgical masks, with filtration over 98% of 5 micron particles, and over 99% proven efficacy against COVID-19.
Sonovia antiviral facemask proven effective against Delta variant
Lab tests conducted for Sonovia by the VisMederi research lab in Italy, showed that the SonoMask is effective against the Delta variant of Covid-19, Israeli media reported in September. The lab tests showed that the treated Sonomasks killed off 99.9% of the Delta variant within 120 minutes.
“The antiviral effect exerted by the Sonovia treated fabrics is expected to be present in all COVID-19 variants, including the recent Delta variant,” Prof. Amos Adler, director of the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at Tel Aviv University and a consultant for the European Center for Disease Control, said according to The Jerusalem Post with regard to a previous test on other strains. Sonovia’s CEO Yigal Zeitun told media: “I hope there aren’t further variants, but if there are, we will continue to show our efficacy.”

What’s actually the difference between Argaman and Sonovia?
As much as I know sonovia mask was tested and approved where as Argaman might be a good product but I am not aware it was certified.
After looking it up – The main difference between the masks is the Sonovia masks underwent official tests of the following institutions – ATCCR laboratory and the European Union Authorised Hygcen laboratory in Austria that showed that their masks are 99% prof against covid-19.
