Royal Caribbean Cruises announced a global suspension of cruising March 14 that will run at least through April 11 as the global coronavirus crisis wreaks havoc throughout the tourism industry. Celebrity Apex, the second of Celebrity Cruises Edge Series ships, returned to the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France after completing a successful sea trial in early February. Celebrity Cruises said the trial had far surpassed performance expectations.
